On December 10th, the Bright Minds Foundation, in partnership with GANTECH Inc. and Capital One Bank, donated 24 internet-ready laptops and printers to middle school students in Howard County. The event took place at GANTECH’s Columbia, Maryland Headquarters. Prior to receiving their equipment, each student and a parent/guardian attended a one hour workshop that provided technical training and a one hour financial literacy session. Mia Millette, GANTECH Vice President of Strategic Operations and a Bright Minds Board Member, led the technical training to educate the students and their families on the basic operations of their laptop, printer, and USB drive. The financial literacy training was conducted by local Capital One Bank branch members and was designed to inform the students and their families on the importance of money management. This event commemorated three years of the Bright Minds Foundation Bridging the Digital Divide as they support Equity, Innovation, and Lifelong Learning in Howard County Public Schools. GANTECH is honored to have participated in this significant event!
