GANTECH Inc. has been named as one of the 2012 Baltimore's Best Places to Work! The article is featured in the February issue of Baltimore Magazine.

According to Baltimore Magazine, GANTECH was ranked due to its "use of virtual desktop technology which makes for an extremely flexible work environment." In addition, its exceptional benefits were highlighted.

As an MBE, GANTECH will be providing gaming support and services to the Maryland Live Casino. GANTECH’s team is an integral part of the casino’s grand opening, set to take place in June of 2012.

On December 10th, the Bright Minds Foundation, in partnership with GANTECH Inc. and Capital One Bank, donated 24 internet-ready laptops and printers to middle school students in Howard County. The event took place at GANTECH’s Columbia, Maryland Headquarters.

Prior to receiving their equipment, each student and a parent/guardian attended a one hour workshop that provided technical training and a one hour financial literacy session. Mia Millette, GANTECH Vice President of Strategic Operations and a Bright Minds Board Member, led the technical training to educate the students and their families on the basic operations of their laptop, printer, and USB drive. The financial literacy training was conducted by local Capital One Bank branch members and was designed to inform the students and their families on the importance of money management.

This event commemorated three years of the Bright Minds Foundation Bridging the Digital Divide as they support Equity, Innovation, and Lifelong Learning in Howard County Public Schools. GANTECH is honored to have participated in this significant event!

GANTECH Inc. donated over 65 cans to Ilchester Elementary School's canned food drive! Proceeds were donated to the less fortunate in Howard County. GANTECH was proud to take part and show our support for those in need!

The Gazette of Politics and Business released its list of the 53 top businesses and organizations in the state of Maryland. GANTECH Inc. announced today that it has been recognized by "Everything Channel" on the CRN Fast Growth 50 "Up and Coming" list. The list recognizes the fastest growing solution providers in North America. The Fast Growth 50 "Up and Coming" list is an extension to the Fast Growth 100, recognizing emerging companies that have shown notable growth. Companies on the Fast Growth 100 list average a two-year revenue growth of 130 percent and average annual sales of products and services of $172 million. The ranking is based on two years’ growth of net sales from calendar year 2008 to calendar year 2010.

 GANTECH has experienced tremendous growth since its inception in 1999. Over the past five years, it has grown by 455%.

Rick Standridge, a GANTECH employee and VidSys certified engineer, provided essential support on the front line of action at the Baltimore Grand Prix!

Throughout the three day race, VidSys provided a Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software platform that enabled interoperability of many diverse systems. The PSIM system managed video surveillance for law enforcement and public safety officials providing protection to the city of Baltimore during the event. The information was used by Baltimore City Police, Baltimore City Fire Department, Baltimore City Department of Transportation, Maryland Emergency Management Agency, Maryland Transit Administration, Maryland Transportation Authority and the Federal Bureau of Investigation

Standridge’s duties included delivering the professional services concept of operation, performing site inspection/verification, installing the PSIM software platform and managing the system’s configuration. He successfully provided over 48 hours of support throughout the course of the race.

Mia Millette, GANTECH’s Vice President of Operations, has been formally appointed to The Bright Minds Foundation Board of Directors! As she begins her new term, Mia is dedicated to helping Howard County students utilize technology to reach their full educational potential.

Supporting Equity, Innovation, and Lifelong Learning in Howard County Public Schools, The Bright Minds Foundation donated nearly 200 computers to students from 2006 to 2009. As Chair of the Technology Committee, Mia will be connecting her technical innovative expertise to her passion for education, as she supports deserving students on their journey.

GANTECH’s 455% growth through the past five years is largely related to Mia’s operational leadership. She has successfully aligned the company’s technical capabilities with its strategic needs. In addition to her impressive corporate resume, she holds a Masters in Computer Systems Management, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and an ITIL-Expert.

The Maryland Department of Human Resources received support from GANTECH employees and teammates during the coverage of Hurricane Irene.

The call for volunteers was met, as was the response time from the GANTECH DHR TOSS team, during the evacuation of Ocean City and staffing of shelters. GANTECH’s expansion comes on the heels of its most successful year, growing 24% from the prior year. Thomas Laskowski, President, proudly announced that by leveraging Maryland’s Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Small Business Reserve (SBR) programs, GANTECH has created more than 55 jobs in Maryland in the past 18 months, and there are approximately 20 additional positions remaining to be filled. The company’s new headquarters has adopted a completely GREEN IT approach to business operations, with no desktop computers in the modern office. Columbia, MD (April 12, 2011) – GANTECH Inc., a full service Information Technology consulting firm, will host a formal Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley on Wednesday, May 18th. This ceremony will celebrate the company’s expanded headquarters in Columbia, MD. GANTECH has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to provide assistance and consultation services to ensure 508 compliance with new online material for the National Center for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).  This is GANTECH’s first federal prime contract and a first under our GSA contract!

GANTECH has been awarded a contract by the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services to provide a Mainframe Disaster Recovery Site.   GANTECH won the Task Order Request for Proposal (TORFP) which was awarded under the Maryland Department of Information Technology for the Consulting and Technical Services II (CATS II) Master Contract. 

GANTECH, as a prime contractor, has won a Maryland COTS Purchase Order Request for Proposal (PORFP) to provide the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene with System Automation’s MyLicense® suite of regulation management applications that consists of the MyLicense Office, MyLicense eGov, and MyLicense Mobile.

ARINC, along with GANTECH as its primary MBE subcontractor, was recently awarded a Police Monitoring Facility (PMF) Relocation contract from the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA). GANTECH will provide design, delivery, and installation of equipment for the PMF. With the PMF relocation, enhanced security and monitoring capabilities will be provided including a large video wall for CCTV display and equipment population of all of the PMF. The PMF project aligns with one of GANTECH’s objectives – expanding our presence in the security and public safety markets. This ongoing focus includes proposals under review to support mission critical security systems within the State.

GANTECH, as prime contractor, has been awarded a Maximo Support Contract for the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT). MAXIMO is the core system that manages the MDOT IT infrastructure processes and procedures. MAXIMO is an asset management system with the mission of delivering a comprehensive view of all asset types including production, facilities, transportation, and information technology across MDOT’s enterprise. MAXIMO’s recent release follows the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) model for IT service Management.

GANTECH was recognized by the Howard County Economic Development Authority for its contributions to enhance the economy and quality of life in Howard County with a Howard County Economic Development Authority (HCEDA) Economic Development Achievement Award. CAS Severn, along with GANTECH as the primary subcontractor, has been awarded the “Consulting and Technical Services (CATS) Document Imaging and Management” project for the Maryland State Lottery Agency (MSLA). MSLA requires expertise for providing document imaging and management services to support the license application process for the State’s new Video Lottery Terminal program.

GANTECH, as the prime contractor, has been awarded the Website Maintenance and Support task by the Maryland Department of Economic Development (DBED). The GANTECH team will support the internal customers at DBED, by performing work in nine different work type areas including Internet/Intranet Web Site/Application Enhancements, Maintenance, and Support; Authentication using Active Directory; MOSS Content Management Development; Application Security Assessments and Remediation; Research and Recommendations on New Web Technology; Web Performance Analysis and Recommendations; Section 508 Analysis and Remediation; Webtrends Enhancements, Maintenance, and Support; and Extranet Development and Support.
